How many campaign missions are in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2?
Fifteen. Launch-window developers said those 15 are campaign-only. Horde adds three unique maps on top — do not add them into the 15.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 missions: 15 Campaign runs on LV-558 across four biomes. Names TBA. Read the briefing, match ammo, then drop from the Endeavor hub.
IGN First — full Prologue drop on LV-558.

This Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 missions index is the Campaign loop for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 from Cold Iron Studios, published by Daybreak Game Company: 15 linear story drops across four biomes on LV-558 / Storr Boon’s, with UAS / USS Endeavor as the between-mission hub. Horde’s three maps sit on top of those 15 — they are not extra campaign numbers. Full mission titles stay TBA. Verified August 26, 2026 · Steam store.

Fifteen. That is the launch-window developer answer: the campaign is 15 missions, and those 15 are campaign only. Horde is a separate mode with three unique maps (Blacksite, Crash Landed, Crusher). Do not add the Horde maps into the campaign count, and do not subtract a Prologue as if the remaining list were 14 — Prologue is part of the story slice players actually drop, not a secret sixteenth SKU.

| Bucket | Count | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign missions | 15 | Linear story drops on LV-558 — the number this page owns |
| Horde maps | 3 | Blacksite · Crash Landed · Crusher — not campaign slots |
| Biomes | 4 | Unique environments the 15 run across |
| Preview played (AvP) | 4 | Prologue + first chapter — not the full roster |
Developers described the campaign as still linear episodes like the first game, but a bit bigger than a three-act structure. Community write-ups that flatten the 15 into “five missions” are counting chapters, not drops. Steam-player notes that talk about 15 formal missions + Prologue are the same confusion in the other direction: treat Prologue as the opener you play, and keep the verified campaign number at 15 until an official in-game list recaptures titles.
The same Discord Q&A gave a rough 30–40 minutes per mission and refused to multiply it. Difficulty, deaths, and how long you linger on crates change the evening. This wiki will not print an 8-hour or 12-hour campaign ETA as fact.
Once the count is locked, the next question is what those 15 are actually *about* — setting, hub, and who you are looking for.
Colonial Marines on the USS / UAS Endeavor slow from FTL to LV-558 to investigate a distress signal from the Weyland-Yutani mining colony Storr Boon’s. Public copy is explicit this is not a clean rescue fantasy: the mining operation reads as a front for Xenomorph research. In-universe timing in previews: 2207, about 28 years after *Aliens* / *Alien 3*, and five years after Fireteam Elite 1 / LV-895.
| Confirmed piece | What we use it for | Do not invent |
|---|---|---|
| Storr Boon’s / LV-558 | Where every campaign drop happens | A 15-row room-by-room walkthrough |
| Endeavor hub | Loadout, vendors, cosmetics between drops | Exact shop SKU lists |
| Captain Olivia Shipp | Hub / briefing voice — more active than the first game in previews | Full dialogue trees |
| Fireteam Banshee | Missing squad you are looking for | A complete NPC ending chart |
| Fey / Esther / Piper | Named missing Marines in the AvP hands-on briefing | Which mission extracts which name |
| Atmosphere processor | Early-campaign landmark the squad had to reset | A fake “mission 3” title for it |
| Enemy preview on launch | Ammo and class pick before you confirm | A hidden faction the card never shows |
| Mid-mission cutscenes | Story beats inside the drop, not only on the ship | Collectible / Intel room IDs |
| Queen is fightable | Do not plan a campaign that only ever runs away | A phase table or HP bar |
AvP Galaxy’s campaign preview played the prologue and first chapter — four missions. The briefing named a crashed dropship and three missing Marines: Fey (captain of Fireteam Banshee, returning from the first game), Esther (formerly the Endeavor station synthetic), and Piper (a newcomer). That is enough to know *why* you drop. It is not enough to stamp those four drops with invented titles.
Levels can cross areas you already walked, with different time and weather — previews called that connected space, not a Metroidvania. You still have a linear path through the mission. Defense zones (highlighted green) give you a window to plant fortifications before you trigger a swarm. That is the campaign version of a hold, not a Horde map.
The next lock is where you spend between drops, and what “four biomes” actually means when we still lack a 15-name list.
Four unique biomes is the developer number. Public materials do not ship a verified four-row name plate (jungle / ice / night / desert as a tidy wiki list). What is named on camera: colony interiors, a looming atmosphere processor, and later Horde maps that reuse the same visual language (Crash Landed near a processor; Blacksite as a reddish desert with a crashed Engineer vessel; Crusher underground in a mining facility). Use those as *looks*, not as campaign slot titles.
| Place | Job | What is TBA |
|---|---|---|
| UAS / USS Endeavor | Hub: class kit, weapons, vendors, cosmetics | Exact vendor inventories |
| Storr Boon’s colony | Early campaign streets and interiors | Which of the 15 sit here |
| Atmosphere processor | Landmark / reset objective in the played opener | Official mission title |
| Four biomes (unnamed) | The 15 run across four unique environments | Official biome labels |
| Green defense zones | Prep fortifications, then trigger the swarm | Count per mission |
Between missions you are on the ship. That is where classes, weapons, and the Perk Grid live. Cosmetics can wait. Decals found in smaller crates inside missions (AvP hands-on) are optional loot, not a reason to backtrack a linear path. Do not park the first hours in the barber chair.
Blacksite, Crash Landed, and Crusher are Horde layouts. They share LV-558’s look. They do not replace three of the 15. Preview copy also said Horde unlocks after the main story — confirm that gate on the live Endeavor; treat the exact unlock as TBA until captured.
Once the geography is a frame instead of a fake map pack, the next page job is the actual pre-drop checklist.
This is the mid-page click. Do it on the Endeavor before you confirm. It does not repeat the 15-count — it turns the briefing into a kit.

Duelist if you just want to shoot. Medic if the group already wipes on rescue. Machinist if you solo with AI fill and want extra guns on a hold. Marauder for corridor packs — watch friendly fire from Intense up. Hunter when the card shows armor. Full comparison: classes.
Casual and Standard teach the loop. Intense and above turn friendly fire on (launch-window guides), including abilities. Crouch the front of a gunline. Difficulty owns the sliders; this page only needs you not to raise the tier because a thumbnail said Insane is the real game.
The briefing is still the one select-screen decision that changes magazines. That is the next section.
Matched by build plan, shared topics, and guide progression — not random related links.
When you launch a mission, the game tells you which enemy types you will face. That is the ammo screen. Pair magazines to the card, not to a global “best ammo.” Full chart: elements. Kill order: enemies.
| If the preview shows… | Pack | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Xenomorphs | Incendiary (fire-sensitive in public materials) | Siren first — calls and flees. Exploder acid. Warden melee + acid zone |
| Pathogen | Cryo / Electric for control | Harbinger pin — delete before it locks a Marine |
| Weyland-Yutani Synths | Piercing on someone in the Fireteam | Bulwark plates; they take cover and shoot back |
| Mixed Xeno + Synth (early chapter did this) | Incendiary *and* piercing split across the four seats | Synths fighting Xenos in the same room — do not tunnel one faction |
| Unknown / TBA icon | Do not guess a Morphic effect | Morphic stays later / TBA |
Siren — shoot it before it prints more aliens. Exploder — detonate it off the stack; step out of the puddle. Harbinger — Pathogen grab. Warden — survive the knockdown, then delete. Bulwark — piercing, not a thermal dump into the shield-legs. HP tables stay TBA.
Green defense zones are not Horde. Prep the fortification window, trigger, hold near a crate, extract when the dropship is the objective. AvP’s played finale of the first chapter was a defense wait for pickup. If your Fireteam treats every room as a sprint, those zones are where the wipe happens.
Names are the last gap. The next section is what this wiki will not fake.
Community / third-party chapter labels circulate. This page will not promote them into a 15-row official list. Use them only as “people have used these words,” then wait for in-game capture.
| Label you may see | Status on this wiki | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Prologue | Played in previews as the opener | Not a verified unique title card beyond “Prologue” |
| Rescue and Recovery | Community / third-party chapter label | TBA as an official mission name |
| Boarding Party | Same | TBA |
| Rock Bottom | Same | TBA |
| Ancient Anomaly | Same | TBA |
| Final Endeavor | Same | TBA |
| Missions 1–15 as a numbered dump | Rejected | Inventing titles is worse than a short index |
| Intel / collectible rooms | Not listed | No room IDs captured this run |
| Per-mission enemy spawn tables | TBA | Briefing preview is the live substitute |
| Queen phase chart | TBA | Fight is confirmed; mechanics are not |
When titles are captured in-game or listed officially, they land here as an index with briefing factions — not as a speedrun script. Until then, the useful object is the prep checklist and the enemy preview, not a fake TOC.
Next: Horde if you want the three dedicated maps after (or gated behind) the campaign. Then difficulty before you raise the tier. First-drop habits: beginner guide.
Fifteen. Launch-window developers said those 15 are campaign-only. Horde adds three unique maps on top — do not add them into the 15.
Full titles are TBA on this wiki. Community chapter labels (Rescue and Recovery, Boarding Party, Rock Bottom, Ancient Anomaly, Final Endeavor) stay unverified. This page will not invent a 15-row list.
LV-558 / Storr Boon’s Mining Facility, with UAS / USS Endeavor as the hub. Four unique biomes. In-universe previews place it in 2207, five years after Fireteam Elite 1.
Yes. Launch a mission and you are told which enemy types you will face. Match Incendiary / Electric / Cryo / Piercing to that card before you drop.
Developers gave a rough 30–40 minutes and would not multiply it. Difficulty and deaths change the answer. This wiki will not print a fake campaign ETA.
Previews played a Prologue plus the first chapter (four missions in that hands-on). Treat Prologue as the opener you play, not a secret extra beyond the 15 until titles are recaptured.
Developers said you will be able to fight the Queen. There is no phase table or HP sheet on this page yet.
No. Horde is a dedicated mode with Blacksite, Crash Landed, and Crusher. Preview copy said it unlocks after the main story — confirm the live gate on the Endeavor.
Yes. Empty Fireteam seats fill with AI bots Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Co-op is 1–4 Colonial Marines with cross-platform play listed on storefronts.
